Mr. Georgaras is a seasoned banking and regulatory professional. He studied Business Administration at the Athens University of Economics and Business (ASOEE) and holds a Master's degree from the Hellenic Management Association (EEDE). He served at the Bank of Greece (BoG) from 1980 until his retirement in 2012, concluding his tenure as Deputy Director of the Credit System Supervision Department. During his time at the BoG, he was a member of the Anti-Money Laundering Authority (2011–2016) and the Quality Control Council of the Accounting Standardization and Audit Committee (ELTE). He has served as a Management Consultant for supervision and audit at the BoG (2013–2017) and acts as a judicial expert on financial crimes. Currently, he is an Independent Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee member of B&F, a listed commercial company, and holds the same independent role at GMM Global Money Managers Ltd.
